galatians 6:1-3 - working on forgiving
Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day's out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ's law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived. [galatians 6:1-3]
forgiving some one often takes a great deal of creativity on our part. it is not only that we are to forgive, we are to bring those people back into our fellowship without critical comments. we can not "rub it in" or "bring it up" we truly need to forgive, and forget. in that, we are also called to help those who have done us wrong. we have to help them carry their burdens of life - because someday we will need the same forgiveness and the same carry - and if we think we are too good for that, we fool ourselves.
